Typical Pohorje dishes consist of specialties such as “pohorski pisker”, a type of stew, “ajdovi žganci” (buckwheat spoonbread), “tunka” meat, rye bread, mushroom soup, blueberry strudel and “črničevec”, a blueberry brandy. Dishes have been cooked from seasonal ingredients produced on farms or grown in nature since long ago. We’ve been making wild garlic, nettle and mushroom soups, desserts with blueberries, elderberries, apples and other seasonal fruits. Medicines and teas have been prepared with natural herbs from the surroundings or those grown on the farm.

You can try genuine Pohorje dishes at mountain lodges, where they are prepared fresh on the weekend or you can pre-order them to be made for you any other day.

*A minimum rental of 3 nights is required.

**Tourist fee is not included in the price and amounts to:

Tourist fee for adults = 0.92 EUR

Tourist fee for children aged 7 through 18 years = 0.46 EUR

Children under 7 years are exempted from paying the tourist fee.
